Save Sugar Rush! (Online game)
Save Sugar Rush! is a online game based on the Sugar Rush Speedway TV adaptation. In the game you play as Vanellope, Taffyta, Candlehead or Rancis as you try to get to eBay to get a new steering wheel after it broke again. The main enemy in the game is Thomas the Tank Engine, who tries to stop you, and kills you with an antivirus if you bump into him three times. His friends also appear as enemies and they will also kill you with a antivirus after three encounters with each of them.

No longer a COPPA wiki
Hey, everyone! This wiki, which has been a "COPPA wiki" (a wiki about a property potentially targeted toward children, which had IP editing disabled) for nearly 10 years, was recently community reviewed and apparently it was, for whatever reason, decided that it wasn't a COPPA wiki any longer!
However: I have disabled IP editing in the admin dashboard for now (a switch that didn't previously exist due to the COPPA wiki status). This isn't because I'm opposed to IP edits! It's just that I am the only active admin currently and have been dealing with some intense stuff in real life the past few weeks. I don't have the mental bandwidth to handle potentially increased edit numbers resulting from IP editors deciding to edit right now. I'll look int…
Idea I want to run by people here if I ever get back to theme editing
I'm thinking, if I ever get the time to refactor the theme to be... like... actually working instead of "just kind of okay", I'd like to fix the light theme to be similar to the way it was a few years back, and then the dark theme could evoke Hero's Duty? Anyone have any feedback on that idea?
Theme editing
I'm finally getting the chance to mess with this wiki's theme.
...It's going to look very bad until I get more chances to play with it this weekend/next week.
I've set the default to dark mode for now as it currently looks FAR better than light mode does!
More about FandomDesktop
FandomDesktop's forced adoption day (for lack of a better term) approaches! I'm almost through the issues on the other wiki I'm helping and then I'll try to get through this one (I anticipate that this one will hit less CSS style issues than that one, which is the whole reason I'm not also jumping over here to get as much done "pre-launch" as I can until I get everything out of the way over there).
FandomDesktop
Wanted to make a short post to let everyone know that the FandomDesktop skin (which will replace Oasis, the current skin) is available to try. There is a banner post Wikia added about this but I wanted to make a post about it because I wanted to let you know I'm aware of some issues with the way it looks on this wiki but I'm currently helping a much more active wiki out with changes to the skin so my priority is there for right now--I WILL make sure everything is working eventually but I can only stretch myself so thin. Thanks.
Policy audit
There will be a new rule/blocking policy going into effect globally on April 1, so I'm going to try to find time before then to review and clarify any potentially murky rules! I might also propose some new ones, though only for existing pages if I determine they're ready for proposal (which could enter a status I'm going to call "conditionally adopted"--i.e. unilaterally pushed to a policy page by me "officially" and treated as rules but also raised to the wiki for discussion... doing it that way because half the time when I bring up wiki management things I don't get enough engagement from the community until weeks after they've already been adopted).
Note that the only two new "policies" that could go into effect are more guidelines (soft…
Quote cleanup
I am about to have a week and a half break from work. During that time I will try to make time to go through at least one page a day with a quotes section and remove inconsequential/un-memorable quote. You know, your "hey" or "oh no" or "me neither" or stuff like that unless it's something that, in my experience, gets regularly quoted by numerous fans.
None are too terribly bloated (or at least most aren't) but I'm going over it because it seems an easy way to get some cleanup done this week. I'm sure over the last 5-7 years some quote sections have taken on quotes that may not need to be there.
This blog post is just to announce my intention, both for accountability (I often don't do things if I don't say somewhere I'm going to) and for peopl…
Nintendo and Disney Princesses
After Mario decided to take a stroll across the Mushroom Kingdom, before stumbling upon Graffiti, Peach stumbled upon a hidden door inside her closet, leading her, Rosalina, and Daisy into a Disney Princess trap, but they declared themselves a princesses as well. Peach takes interest in Vanellope's outfit, and she and the other two Nintendo princesses decided to dress down a bit into comfy attires just like the Disney Princesses did.

Giselle and the Disney Princess
Between Enchanted and the determined-upcoming Disenchanted, Giselle found herself in the Disney Princess cabinet inside the Internet, but never knew what it was like to have Wi-Fi. As she proclaimed as a princess, she took interest in Vanellope, and the other princesses counted her in as well.

Vanellope and the Disney Junior Princesses
After the Series finale of Elena of Avalor, and two years after the series finale of Sofia the First, Wi-fi or internet versions of the two protagonists themselves showed up in the princesses' cabinet meeting the Disney Princesses. Elena and Sofia took some interest in Vanellope, who has never met them before, so the princesses counted them in, too.

Wiki is now migrated to UCP!
You may have noticed, but the wiki has been migrated! This is just a quick update here; I'll take a further look at how everything's working and/or is different sometime this evening or tomorrow. This weekend at the latest!
Our wiki is getting migrated to UCP!
(Announcement will stay live until the migration is over, may stay live after as well)
You might have noticed the banner on this wiki. It's an indication that this wiki will soon move to UCP. Unfortunately, my test wiki that I specifically volunteered for migration to get my bearings in prep for this wiki eventually migrating has not been switched to UCP ahead of this one so I'll be flying by the seat of my pants for a little bit, probably, trying to figure things out. Some of UCP I will already be familiar with (because some parts of it are just core parts of newer versions of MediaWiki, so I've used them places like Wikipedia), but some I may have to get used to (i.e. changes to extensions that needed to be rebuilt for the upgrade, any ch…
Minor UCP update for people who don't read Community Central
Wikia's doing away with Chat when UCP rolls around. When that happens it will go away and I, personally, will not be going for a replacement like Discord or anything. I don't have the time for it and it wouldn't get enough use to be worth it, I don't think.
Just wanted to let anyone here who might somehow be a die-hard chat fanatic know, even if it may be some time yet before anything happens.
A possible far-future note on Message Walls
Updates to the message wall feature that will come when Wikia updates their Mediawiki installation have given me pause that has made me entertain the thought of shutting them off.
This is not happening right now. I'm examining what can be done (and what might change in the coming time) since the crux of the issue is the lack of ability to use wiki markup in the new extension since it's built off Discussions.
It's possible I'll broach this topic with the community if and when it becomes a problem, but note that functionality could come first if this comes to that.
This blog post is mostly for warning so no one can say something like, "this is so sudden, you never brought this up!"

An Indie Game Inspired on Wreck-It Ralph: Randy & Manilla
Maybe this won't have to do with the wiki, but having played many video games after watching the movie, I almost had this question: If Wreck-It Ralph makes references to the videogames, Why there aren't many videogames that make reference to Wreck-It Ralph? (As like Sweet Sweet Mountain from Mario Kart 8, that looks like Sugar Rush). And this is where I show a project that I am starting to develop:
Randy & Manilla is a game where is discovered a mysterious quantum cyber-universe hosted by Net-Cubes that contain virtual worlds with various genres of games.
That is the general description of the game, but what I'm going to find out is, How much does it have of Wreck-It Ralph?
The first clue, the title, it's obviously a reference, with the pixelated f…
Curse to become a glitch
The curse to become a glitch is a curse done by Turbo to Vanellope von Schweetz before the events of Wreck-It Ralph (film).
It would cause the victim to become a glitch and thus an outcast. It allows the victim to glitch anywhere.
Vanellope von Schweetz (cast by Turbo).
This blog post was inspired by one of the Disney Princesses asking Vanellope if she had been cursed and a few fans asking if being glitch is a curse.
King Candy von Schweetz
King Candy von Schweetz was the King of Sugar Rush until Turbo killed him, assumed his identity, usurped his throne and made the king's daughter, Vanellope von Schweetz, a glitch.

I might merge some cameo articles together when I find time
There's been a proliferation of one-liner articles that probably don't merit either a standalone article or more context on this wiki, so when I find time (i.e. if I don't get called in to sub a lot next week (I probably will, though), or on a weekend), I'm going to look into which ones should probably be standalone articles and which ones should probably instead be merged into a "list of" article (specifically, one I'm going to draft for the sequel--having them all from both movies in one massive "list of cameos" article would get unwieldy).
Just announcing it publicly in advance so no one is surprised when it happens.

I'm disabling the Achievements extension
I've noticed some issues lately with edits that I think are due in part to people editing to badge collect (in a way that is massively encouraging quantity over quality), and seeing as I'm both the most (only?) consistently active admin and I have a job and other things that take away my time from being an admin, I've decided to disable the Achievements extension to try to nip problems in the bud.
This matter is not up for discussion at present as it's a community management issue. (Though I'll wait about 10 minutes after putting it up and making it an announcement in case there's some major issue with disabling it I haven't thought of. Or if any other admins hanging around think I've lost my marbles and convince me to stop.) It may be a day or …
Rich Moore is biased
Rich Moore clearly has a bias for Sonic The Hedgehog, Street Fighter and to at least some extent Q*Bert considering how they are WAY too prominent in both movies (Q*Bert more so in the first movie but it's still there to an extent in the second movie) especially since the characters from those games are way too prominent by minor character standards for reasons that should be obvious if you have watched both movies. It's another reason why I hate him so much these days (as well as one of the reasons why I hate the second movie as well as another reason why I cannot fully enjoy the first movie) along with that fact he LIED about including Mario in the sequel. Shame on you Rich Moore. SHAME. ON. YOU.
A change that might get more images properly licensed!
I've imported a script from the dev wiki (this one, specifically) that will require images to be licensed once it goes live. It's still under review so it isn't live yet but it may be soon. I had initially tested out another script and for that one I needed to add a "no license" option to the license dropdown, and even though the script I went with doesn't require that (because it forces you to choose a license), I've left it on the list for you to select just in case you REALLY don't have any idea what the proper license to pick is.
If you need help with file policy or what tags are used when, you can take a look at the file policy or ask in the comments here. Movie screenshots are always fair use.
If this really really backfires, I'll revert th…
Things I've been doing this month
Who am I kidding? I'm posting this mostly to encourage myself to keep it up after the holidays. XD
I've spent December cutting down the wanted pages (which still isn't done, but most of it (that isn't stuff we should actually get created) is stuff from my userspace that needs to be converted to interwiki links), linking to articles on the Spanish and Brazilian Wreck-It Ralph Wikis that weren't linked before (I went through the entire list so it should be up to date with what existed on the other wikis as of when I did it), and creating pages for some sequel-related performers with content from Wikipedia (still not done, but better than before).
I hope I can keep up this momentum into the new year even as I taper off for the holidays!
End of November: How successful was I at attempting to edit every other day?
On November 8, I said I was going to try for the entire (rest of the) month of November to edit every other day. Was I successful?
Well, I didn't edit every other day in reality but I'd say on average I did. Sometimes I did a few days in a row, sometimes I skipped some days.
More excitingly, I made 405 edits (including this one to make the blog post) after I made that other post to now!
Some exciting stuff I'm proud of doing:
- Merging our content of Ralph Breaks the Internet with the much wordier Wikipedia article version. Seriously, this is something I'm extremely excited I got done (and it feels like the crown jewel of this month) because I spent about four days:
- Combining their text and ours in a way that the resulting combination made sense …
Great fan-animations of Wreck-It Ralph
When a new movie is announced (include Ralph Breaks the Internet), Websites such as Youtube, Twitter and others take advantage of the fashion of it with a host of memes, fanarts, and even videos. Most are resurfaced and mixed trailers and family-friendly trash, but nevertheless, there are a couple of videos, although not excellent in concept, they stand out for having a more fluid animation and it seems that they respect one of the principles of the essence of Wreck-It Ralph: a bad guy who gets between videogames as the main theme and spending more time with the cameo characters.
The first video is made by FuturisticHub, a channel famous for the videos of SpongeBob in Minecraft with ugly designs of the characters. Here Ralph is in a site of…
Trying a new sort of thing
I'm thinking that for the entire month of November, barring anything stopping me, I'm going to try approximately every other day to edit one random article on this wiki to clean it up if it needs it. There are a lot of pages that could probably use some (or lots of) cleanup, so I feel like maybe this'll get me back into the "real" editing groove? Or if not at least I'm trying?
By random, I do mean truly random, though. I'll be pressing Special:Random then checking if the article has anything for me to do (from basic cleanup like wiping fanon and speculation, etc. to more extensive things like heavy spelling and grammar correction or complete rewrites). If I think I want to help a really specific article one day I might do that but most days…
I'm a bad admin because I didn't realize we had featured videos enabled without any on-wiki consensus
I devised personal CSS for this when I noticed it on another wiki, and I didn't realize it was here until I was analyzing a certain page's weight (I can't use the wikitext size alone since the page is mostly images) and the screenshot had a featured video. (For the particular page I was analyzing, a video would make the page load times even worse. (As evidenced by the fact that when I disabled my CSS style that hides them, the page instantly not just slowed but stuttered hard.) So ugh.)
Really really didn't need more ammo for the "we should probably switch hosts, subsection: we have no control" file, because there's presumably no mechanism for wiki-wide removal of those videos permanently because it probably violates the TOS to hide it for e…
Will be taking a more hardline stance on the WIR2 page soon
The Ralph Breaks the Internet page is quickly becoming a collection of unsourced information (despite the box at the top declaring sources must be used when adding new info) and indiscriminate images (nothing against galleries, but the page is bloating quickly when we're adding every little image). I'm trying to finish a cleanup tag to place on the article while I figure out the best way to deal with the gallery issue, but I'll be much more quickly and completely dealing with the source issue by removing anything that isn't clearly sourced to a reliable source (that is, a source that supports a specific person actually being in the movie, hopefully including who they'll play and preferably showing they're more than, say, a bit part). Going fo…
The true villian of the sequel is the own Wreck-It Ralph
I come to say something important (surely spoiler), that the true villain of the sequel It's not Yesss or Double Dan, is the own Wreck-It Ralph getting into mess again. And I have been looking very carefully at the scene where they are being chased by a wave of viruses.
Apparently, in some of them, had a similar shape to Ralph, that is, that literally the virus is formed by a mass of clones of Wreck-It Ralph out of other games and other things. This could explain the question asked by Rich Moore in April 2014: Will there be other Ralphs, there will be more modern Ralphs?
It also explains why Ralph goes to the Darknet and meets Double Dan, for what we see in the background, is a secret laboratory that manufactures viruses that can threaten th…
Swindle of the next trailer in September, 3
A day on Twitter, I saw the answers they gave in the tweets of director Rich Moore, and a guy named William Fairchild, he asked the next question: When will we get a new trailer for Ralph Breaks The Internet? And Rich Moore answered "SOON" with angry dog meme.
And in that same meme it indicated that it would be the first monday (9/3/2018), and I was believe that the trailer is in the first monday of September, and come to the day I posted this blog, I realized that I was fooled by a simple tweet, and that first monday referred to the first monday of the JJOO.
And you who think? Sure there a next trailer is on September, but not on monday.

This may just be because I'm not feeling well today, but...
More and more changes at Wikia make my brain go down the path of wanting to fork this wiki to a different host. Of course I'd never do that without running it by the editors here first, but... gah. The things they keep doing make me want to leave, but I don't want to leave this wiki, which is probably why my brain is going there. DX
Don't worry. This is just me getting these feelings on paper so that if I ever do think of suggesting this kind of thing to you guys, it's not out of the blue. XP
Sonic characters in Wreck it Ralph 2
When Wreck It Ralph 2 comes out I hope to see more sonic characters like Tails,Amy Rose,Shadow The Hedgehog or even Silver The Hedgehog. When I saw the trailer for the movie when Vanellope met the Disney Princesses,I am hoping to see more Pixar characters other than Merida.Anyways I'm Excited to see the movie!
Hello! It's been few years...
Ni Hao (你好), users! It's me, Joseph. It's been a few years since I contributed to this wiki, and right now I'm happy to be back after a lot of years in high school! So, I heard that there's a sequel to Wreck-It Ralph, and I might be contributing to the sequel by adding the another list of international voice casts and another list of release dates from all around the world...
I hope you're looking forward to the lists!
See you later!
Ralph Breaks the Internet it's a bad proposal
Why the movie also includes the "Disney Princesses"? Why reason? for a very stupid reason, Vanellope is also a princess, even though she is also president, and both Disney and their fans have wanted to ignore this part. It all started at the end of the first part, when it was revealed that way, and according to the general rule of how to classify: Every woman who has been singing, with magic, speaks with animals, who was kidnapped or enslaved and whose problems were solved by men in the film, is classified as "Disney Princess" and it is mandatory to be in the merchandising group with the other princesses, and all were like that, with the exception of Mérida, that was classified with the real reasons of being a princess (being the daughter …
Using this to test out the new announcements feature!
I'm using this blog post to test out the new Announcements feature. It's similar to forum post highlighting (which we lost with the loss of the forum extension) except that we can send a notification to users that will point them to any URL. Sounds cool. :P
Should we use American or British spelling conventions?
I've noticed an uptick in people changing correct but non-American spellings to their American counterparts (i.e. recolours to recolors, etc.). We don't have a manual of style or anything so I figured I'd pose the question to the wiki.
CSS has been added that turns links for categories that don't exist red
I've had this CSS in a personal CSS file of my own for quite a bit and thought I'd add it wiki-wide because I figured it could be usable for other people to see if a category they've added might not be one that it's widely agreed should exist. Most categories (outside of a few image ones I can think of, IIRC, but that's my own fault if so) should have text on their category page, and a lot of former ones that shouldn't be used anymore have had their category page text deleted.
I hope you find it useful! (And if you see it and really don't like it for some reason, please feel free to tell me your reasoning for not wanting it around and I might remove it, depending on the reasoning.)
This is such a tiny wiki update but I thought it was important t…
I have no idea what's going to happen after Friday
Monobook is being trashed by Wikia due to regulations that go into place on Friday.
I can't use the default skin long-term (my computer hates it and my disability hates it), so I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to be doing when I don't have Monobook to use. (Also, it means I can't use HotCat anymore. At all. I'd grown attached. Darn.)
Worst case scenario is that you see me way less, which I really don't want to be the case with the movie coming up.
I guess the best case scenario is finding a way to fudge my personal CSS/JS into a Monobook mimic somehow (like how some wikis have made their Monobook skin mimic MediaWiki's Vector skin), but second best case is they actually provide a usable skin.
Tapper is mario? (theory)
- I think , on the movie tapper is already mario inside but his desgin looks similary and his face . and also his , eyes are the same.

Random official videos starting to go missing
I was exploring some special pages and ended up on a hidden category that listed off pages with broken file links... and came to find out a video I never deleted stopped existing. I can't tell what exactly is going on--the entire video page is gone, which doesn't happen with videos that just have been removed from YouTube (that is, the video no longer works but our file page for it continues to exist). The only thing I can guess right now is that these videos were from Wikia's video library, which might mean the page was their doing, but I haven't examined far enough to know for sure. Just wanted to let everyone know, so that if you notice a video is all of a sudden a bad link (or some areas of the home page look odd), you might know what …
