End of November: How successful was I at attempting to edit every other day?
On November 8, I said I was going to try for the entire (rest of the) month of November to edit every other day. Was I successful?
Well, I didn't edit every other day in reality but I'd say on average I did. Sometimes I did a few days in a row, sometimes I skipped some days.
More excitingly, I made 405 edits (including this one to make the blog post) after I made that other post to now!
Some exciting stuff I'm proud of doing:
- Merging our content of Ralph Breaks the Internet with the much wordier Wikipedia article version. Seriously, this is something I'm extremely excited I got done (and it feels like the crown jewel of this month) because I spent about four days:

Trying a new sort of thing
I'm thinking that for the entire month of November, barring anything stopping me, I'm going to try approximately every other day to edit one random article on this wiki to clean it up if it needs it. There are a lot of pages that could probably use some (or lots of) cleanup, so I feel like maybe this'll get me back into the "real" editing groove? Or if not at least I'm trying?
By random, I do mean truly random, though. I'll be pressing Special:Random then checking if the article has anything for me to do (from basic cleanup like wiping fanon and speculation, etc. to more extensive things like heavy spelling and grammar correction or complete rewrites). If I think I want to help a really specific article one day I might do that but most days…
I'm a bad admin because I didn't realize we had featured videos enabled without any on-wiki consensus
I devised personal CSS for this when I noticed it on another wiki, and I didn't realize it was here until I was analyzing a certain page's weight (I can't use the wikitext size alone since the page is mostly images) and the screenshot had a featured video. (For the particular page I was analyzing, a video would make the page load times even worse. (As evidenced by the fact that when I disabled my CSS style that hides them, the page instantly not just slowed but stuttered hard.) So ugh.)
Really really didn't need more ammo for the "we should probably switch hosts, subsection: we have no control" file, because there's presumably no mechanism for wiki-wide removal of those videos permanently because it probably violates the TOS to hide it for e…

The Ralph Breaks the Internet page is quickly becoming a collection of unsourced information (despite the box at the top declaring sources must be used when adding new info) and indiscriminate images (nothing against galleries, but the page is bloating quickly when we're adding every little image). I'm trying to finish a cleanup tag to place on the article while I figure out the best way to deal with the gallery issue, but I'll be much more quickly and completely dealing with the source issue by removing anything that isn't clearly sourced to a reliable source (that is, a source that supports a specific person actually being in the movie, hopefully including who they'll play and preferably showing they're more than, say, a bit part). More and more changes at Wikia make my brain go down the path of wanting to fork this wiki to a different host. Of course I'd never do that without running it by the editors here first, but... gah. The things they keep doing make me want to leave, but I don't want to leave this wiki, which is probably why my brain is going there. DX
Don't worry. This is just me getting these feelings on paper so that if I ever do think of suggesting this kind of thing to you guys, it's not out of the blue. XP
